A: Unlike many competitors using NCM (Nickel Manganese Cobalt) batteries that last 800-1000 cycles, Balder Power exclusively uses LiFePO4 (Lithium Iron Phosphate) technology. Our systems are rated for 6,000 to 8,000 cycles at 80% Depth of Discharge (DOD). In real-world applications (one cycle per day), this translates to a service life of 15+ years, offering superior long-term ROI.

Q2: Can I retrofit your battery to an existing solar system (AC Coupling)?

A: Absolutely. This is a common scenario. Our ESS solutions support AC-Coupling. This means if you (or your customer) already have a grid-tied PV system with a string inverter (like SMA or Fronius), you can add our battery system without replacing the existing inverter. The battery simply connects to the AC panel to store excess solar energy.

Q3: Will my solar panels continue to work during a power outage?

A: Standard grid-tied solar systems shut down during a blackout for safety (anti-islanding). However, when paired with our Hybrid ESS, the system creates a local microgrid.
